Poet vinthan lived next to my uncles house in chetput got a famous award for his novel paalum paavaiyum. MGR and Sivaaji jointly acted in goondukili in which he wrote,"kongum kiliaana pennai goondu kili aackivittu kottu melam kottuvathu saria thappa? saria thappa?".
He also wrote these songs which i know of,
Mayakum malai - golabakavali
pazhagum tamile paarthipan magane alagia mani sugama - paarthipan kanavu
Don't u all think he should be on our list of song writers on this site?

Vindhan was a good novelist, short story writer who worked under the legendary 'Kalki' in the magazine named after him.
The song which he penned in 'Parthiban Kanavu', the first-ever historical romance in Tamil written by Kalki, the duet sung by PS-AMR is perhaps the best song set to tune by Veda. The beginning of the song and the voice of PS when she sings 'Idayavaanin' is amazing. I consider this as Veda's best-ever piece. It's sung when the Chola Prince Vikraman, played by Gemini, is banished from the land of his birth by Pallava king Narasimha varman, but his daughter Kundavi has already fallen in love with Vikraman. That character was played by Vyjayantimala.
